Question 500hp cam choices

I have a lot to learn when it comes to the different specs. I am finding out a lot of my choices are a toss up! I have the carb motors and will have some head work done (some port , relief and a slight compression increase). The cam that comes with the motors seems to be a good choice possibly changing to 1.8 rockers will complement the head work. The other idea that was given to me was to change to the EFI cam. The problem with all the other great cam choices is that I'm limited on what I can do since my rev limiters are set at 5250rpm. I don't want to change limiters at this time sooooo thats my situation any comments or suggestions would be helpfull.
I should also add that crane is giving me some decent pricing since it was their old style springs that forced me to do this project. I'd like to stick with them for now. Scott

I know how about a 7/8 race cam or maybe even a 15/16 but make sure it is for a boat.

What do ya think ha ha

Have you considered the xxx731? Just a bit bigger than your original. And then the xxx741, a little bigger yet. This is the one I'm using with great results.

One word of caution, If you are planning on new Crane roller lifters, you WILL wait until at least until mid April. I just spent 2 full days calling everyone in the USA Tue and again today looking for just 2 pair.
