Default Rebuilding Tornsion Axles

Can you replace the rubber tornsion "springs" in this axles? If so do you need to send them back to the factory?

Thanks

I don't believe they come apart. Not really a spring, least not metallic spring, they use a rubber insert, pretty much maintenance free. What problem are you having?

they apear to be sagging. When you jack the axle up the spindle drops a few inches.

I don't think ya can,or wouldn't be cost effective sending them back, freight?I am thinking with the boat on it the arm may be around 10-11 O'Clock

heres the angle of the arm unloaded.

last pick is a brand new trailer just the trailer weight on it,

I had one repaired. They heated the axle to melt the old rubber so they could pull out the torsion stub. Then they compress and freeze the new rubbers. It takes a special press that uses liquid nitrogen to freeze the rubbers (4). They took the frozen assembly and simply slid it in to the end of the square tubing axle and waited for it to thaw....presto a new torsion assembly.

Default axels

Dean:
I have a friend that had a couple of new torsion axels and was planning on selling them. If he still has them I know he will part with them for a good price. I also have an account with dexter for axels and know I can beat that price. I will call you this weekend with the info I have. Sorry you won't be in Key West, I am working real hard to get TKO back together but I know We will be ready. Thanks for the confidence.
