A buddy of mine is on his way right now to vegas to look at a 40' Hallet....You know, the one with the door up in the hull to get out of the cabin......Anyway, he boats mostly in the ocean but some on the lakes...Havasu, Mead, etc. I remember when this boat first came out and crawled around on it at the L.A. boat show a couple of years ago. Then I read an article in PBM, they tested it in the ocean in Long beach, and as I recall it leaked slightly from the pounding it took in the swells! I don't think this is a good thing, not to mention it isn't a 24 degree hull. Needless to say I don't think this is the boat for him. Do any of you have any further info on this type, or the actual boat? Boats outside of Vegas and I assume he runs on Mead.

I think you can get your choice of door or no door.

As for the pounding, I have no idea. Never have ridden in one.

This boat has the door in it already. It's only a 21 degree dead rise....That's gonna get rough out there!!
