Default Scheduled Maintenance?

I'm a first time boat owner with the season slowing coming to an end. I purchased it from a guy who was very diligent with his maintenance. I have put 50hrs since purchasing it this summer with 200hrs total on my 454 mpi and I would like to learn how to service the engine and the drive, but don't know what they need at what hour intervals or where to start with documentation. Any help would be great.

thanx

Lots of information on this in the Tech Section below. Defintely search there and decide what you want to do.

I do engine and drive oil every 25 hours.

You're in TX so I guess winterization isn't an issue.

I have the 454 mpi manual, if you'd like, I can copy the pages for you.

If ya had a copy laying around that would be great, but that's just too much to ask. I'm getting there with replies in the other sections. Really appreciate it though.

Oil and drive lube changes every 40-50 hrs.
Impeller once a year or 100 hrs.
Spark plugs, cap, rotor every 100-200hrs or as needed.
Belts every 5 years or as needed.
IMO, Merc service intervals are listed as too long.

Thats about it. A lot depends on condition more than hours.

The boat is in awesome condition, the previous owner bought it new in 1998 and only put 150hrs on it in 10yrs, and I put 50 on it in 2 months, lol. Mainly pulling the kids on a tube and cruising, only road it hard for one day.
