stay away from the 6.5 turbo diesel lots of problems get a 454 or a ford with a powerstroke they are better and more powerful i tow my boats with a 00 gmc 4 door 4x4 dually it does pretty good with a 454

I bought mine off the side of the road on a Sunday afternoon, in virginia, drove to CT, picked up my boat, turned around and drove home with it - had 286,000 on it when I bought it - sold it to buy something newer with 294,000 on it.
I towed my Cafe Racer with it on a fully boxed steel Manning - I bet fully loaded it was 15000. Wasn't real fast away from the lights but good enough - it had drums in the back and that was a noticeable difference when I moved up to my current F350.
3rd gear Syncro's are a problem (if manual)....

I've got a 1998 3500 454 4x4 crew cab dually, I think the weakest part is the brakes. At least compared to the Fords and Dodges I've been in......
Mine has 175k and needs a couple of fuel injectors, other than that all seems fine.
