I took my 24 pantera out last weekend and somehow got water in one of the cylinders.
I launched on a river so it had a long idle maybe 10 min and when i went to open it up it started missing, it sometimes does this but usually clears up within 30secs. This time it did not clear up so I got it back home and pulled the port aft plug(not sure about cyl #)and it had condensation on it. checked the oil and no milkshake. I decided to replace all the plugs thinking it got in the intake when I washed it or something so I started it on the hose and it sounded fine. I took it back out and it was still missing, I pulled the plug and there was water on it. Got back to the house and checked the oil, it was a milkshake now.
anyone have any idea of what may be wrong?
I am obv going to have to tear down the engine and rebuild now but I was wondering if this is a typical failure in marine engines.
it is a 454 330 with emi thunder exhaust
thanks in advance
