Trim Switch Wiring?

How are your trim/tab switches set up? I am re-doing controls/dash/switches and want to do it the right way. I am buying new rocker switches for the dash.
I have 2 drives. I will be buying four on-off-on momentary rockers. one for each drive, one for each tab. I also have a single rocker switch on the new throttle control.
Not sure what the throttle switch should do.
Does everyone use the control box with relays or just run straight through the switch?
Thanks for any advice.

If you use the single switch on the throttle to control either both the drives or both tabs together, you'll have to install diodes on both sides (up and down) of the throttle switch.
My dash has both independent and combined switches for both the drives and tabs. (6 switches total)I also have 2 switches in my throttle to control both the tabs and drives. I believe there are 8 total diodes.
W/O diodes, your common throttle switch will not allow the separate switches to operate independently.
You can use the throtle switch to operate whatever you choose. I'd think drives would be more common if a choice.

Could just use 1 light duty DPDT relay to trip the existing relays.
Just make sure there are no conflicts with your existing wiring so your independent switch will still work.
