Trailer Disc Brake Conversion ?

Hi guys,
Anyone know the best disc brake kit to convert trailer over to?
I have 3 6000lb axles.
I've seen some stainless kits, Holy Sh%* ! I dont want to buy another trailer !
I've seen the Kodiak and the Tie Down, just don't know which one has better corrosion resistance, and so forth.

Darren....did a conversion on a trailer last winter. Went from drum to disk. This place had kits made it pretty simple.
http://www.trailerpartsdepot.com./ I like the Kodiak over Tie Down, but thats just me. Have had both. If you are in salt water alot you may want all Stainless, but if not the E coated is fine. Used our trailer all last summer and the rotor and caliper still look like new.

Tie down is junk, I had two friends not take my advice and buy them because they were cheaper then Kodiak. Neither have working brakes in less then 1 yr. (both were used salt water). Kodiak all the way IMO, good brakes are cheaper then accidents.

Was trying to be diplomatic, but your right. Tie Down's brake pads wore out in 500 miles, they said the caliper was draging, so replaced them and went another 300 miles, and the aluminum calipers had issues, because of the stainless pistons. This has been years ago that I used Tie down stuff, maybe they got better. With Kodiak stuff never had any problems.

Go with the Kodiak SS Caliper and Nickel Cadmium rotors. The NK rotors have 500 hours of rust proof protection. That means you can wait 500 hours before you give them a fresh water bath after a salt dip before you have significant/impairing rust buildup.
I went to this setup on a tandem trailer a couple years ago, and they worked great, and installed nicely. I have the same setup on my triple axle trailer, and love them.

Kodiak. Changed my drums to discs this year, definitely the way to go. If Sunkin still showed up once in awhile he would agree too
