Default HID headlight bulb conversions : question

Has anybody actually done a HID bulb conversion kit on a car or truck?? I have an 03 F-350 and want to do a conversion, and if it works well I also have a Durango to do. I know there are all kinds of kits to buy, what I want to know is if you did a conversion, what kit did you buy and where did you buy it from?? And how much better is it over the stock bulbs??

Thanks for any input.

Thanks Brian.

I read that thread also. I am looking for more than one person who has done the conversion if possible. I work at a high line new car dealer, and I find it very interesting that the aftermarket can offer a complete conversion kit for less than 60% of what a bulb costs me at a dealer. I just don't want to buy some junk that burns out early or doesn't last.

OK heres an update.

I bought some kits from www.xenonlink.com as recommended by another here on OSO.

I just installed them on my F-350 and my wife's Durango.

The kits are straight forward plug and play deals. Just needed to tie wrap some wires and tape one connector so as to keep water out.

WOW what a difference !!! I bought the 6000K kits and they are like daylight color. (Matches most OEM cars) The light is very evenly distributed and I feel you can see about 30
% more stuff now. They are really going to help out where I live in the country areas. I have 9007 bulbs and I bought the ones with HID high and low beams.

Everyone should do this conversion. Best 150.00 I have spent on a vehicle in a long time.
