Default Cougar Cub 50hp, 54mph-GPS

Video of Cougar Cub with 50hp Yamaha running at 54mph GPS as filmed alongside from friends 27' Cougar Cat. Fun little 10' boat.

We have one with a 25 HP. I think it runs in the 30's(when it ran). Very cool looking little boat!

Feels like a 100 on less than 5 gallons per hour.

Are you running a short shaft 50hp? Or long shaft with a jack plate?
I have a 25hp long shaft on mine and its a pain to plane out. I have a 50hp long shaft too im thinking of putting on with a Jackplate. Just hate to raise it up to high.
I also just picked up some trim tabs for it.

Short shaft, no jack plate, but does have Nauticus trim tabs (smallest size made) to help planing. I did try a long shaft but felt it was to unstable, it is designed for a short shaft motor.
