I was thinking about removing the fuel cross feed valves on the Sonic and just running one feed line to each engine.
Just for clarification I have twin engine boat with twin fuel tanks. There are two valves mounted under the couch that allow you to feed any engine from any tank or both engine from either tank at once. I actually went through the trouble of replacing these with bigger 1/2" line ones when I put the blowers on a few years ago.
But I have never used them and I have a hard time thinking of a likely time when I would. So I was considering removing them and just plumbing each engine to its respective side tank.
Anyone here ever used them or can think of a good reason to keep them, please tel me.
Thanks

Why would it be prudent to eliminate the option of cross feeding ?
Perhaps both engines would draw from one tank to equalize the load or one tank is seeping or one tank has garbage, etc.
incidently,1/2 lines may be marginal, subject to fittings and other restriction.
We are in Springtown, give us a shout some time.

I had a 30 SS sonic with that setup and i can tell u leave them.
I ran out of gas on one tank once because i was stupid ,,LOL,,but i switched that engine to the other tank and made it to the gas station on bothe engines.
Other reason is i balanced the boat from side to side with them aswell and worked fine.
One engine always needet a little more fuel then the other ,so i liked the valves.

friend went on a trip at night. (3:00am) broke one drive. made it 30 miles toward home port. had plenty of fuel to make it home. had to call sea tow because the good side ran out of fuel & had no way to run the engine. still had about 50 gallons in the boat. was 5 miles from home.

The reason I was thinking about getting rid of them is because in the older sonics they are mounted in the open and kids and others keep bumping and moving them and I constanly have to remeber to check them. I could relocate them to the engine compartment but then again I could just get rid of them too. Thats why I asked, and thank you for all the replys. I am still thinking about what to do but good points have been made.
