Have any of you Outlaw boys removed your plexiglass faring? Mine had 2 areas in it where the white paint on the inside had scratched away. I pulled it off in order to re-paint those areas from the reverse side.
Man – it was nasty behind that faring when I pulled it off. It’s no wonder that I had those scratches. It looked like the guy at the factory did not clean the area very well. There were fiberglass splinters still behind the faring from when the mounting holes were drilled. It’s no mystery where those scratches came from. I re-painted it white from the inside, cleaned away all the crud, and re-installed it with those little white plastic screw-head covers. Looks great.

The only prep I did was to clean the area and remove any flaking. I just used regular spray paint. Afterall, this is inside out painting so just filling in the blank spots seemed to be good enough.
Perhaps Chris did more.
