What is the maximum power you can put in a 357 SR-1 with TRS drives,and what kind of speeds does these boats make.

I had a 357 with twin 454/420hp, TRS drives, and it would cruise (3500rpm) around 40mph, and it would top out at 64mph at 5100rpm.

I know a guy in belgium ,,,he had like twin 1000 HP on the trs in there ,,boat flew close to 100 .

The funny thing is he never had a problem with the drives.

I heard around 600 hp.

It all depends on how you push the drives. The TRS are strong but above 600hp they can't take firewalling the throttles and jumping wakes. I have seen 650hp but take it slow. I would say 650hp would give you about 75mph ruoughly

I owned one for about ten years. Just moved to another ride a couple years ago. It was cheaper to buy another ride than buy 80mph in the Formula. Dont get me wrong I love the Old Skool making big power. Nothing makes your head turn like an 80's ride blowing past you.
