Mild 540 heads
I may have cracked my 7.4L block & have been looking @ a 540 short block. My question is if my current ported & flowed L-29 Vortec heads are too small? I boat @ 4000 -6000' elevation & RPMs would be 5k or less. Stock ignition limits RPMs to 4750. Giving the high elevation & low RPMs would these heads work. I know @ sea level & higher RPMs they would be way too small.
