Hello,
I have a mallory electric fuel pump with a large filter before the pump. Mallory told me I do not need to run a filter after the regulator. I don't have any room between the regulator and the carb. Is anyone running without a filter between the pump and carb.

You have to be careful, Racor filters are meant to have the fuel drawn through them. If you try to push fuel through them in can vaporize and create fumes / vapor lock.
I just went through this set up on my old Chriscraft.
I dont think there is any issue with having an additonal inline filter just be sure you are using the right type.

People run them in case the pump fails. Bad if your injected. Your running a carb so it's not as critical. I ran for years without one after the pump but I have both now.

I'm a s-x dealer in detroit and you should run a filter before and after the fuel pump. All fuel pumps have moving parts inside and they wear off material. We helped out a customer that did not run a filter after the pump and was burning pistons. We found brass shavings in the injector filters on the cylinders that were damaged,it came out of the fuel pump. The cost of a filter is less expensive than a engine.
