Default Steering Dampers with 600 hp in a 96 outlaw ??? anyone use these?

Putting in a 600 hp 502 in my little 24 outlaw sst. anyone use those steering dampers for stability instead of full hydrolic steering or assist?

wast of money or do they actually work......

or should I spend the extra 400 bucks hydrolic steering assist single ram...

boat should be running in the mid 80s

Thanks

A friend of mine had a 25 outlaw with a pro charged 502 and he put one on it was better than nothing but not a great solution . If you can get the hydrolic steering

You need full hydraulic steering.

Second that!!! Over 60 mph in a perf boat nothing less than full hyd steering. Thing to remember here is that if anything fails it will be your arse in the drink. Mid 80's you're flirtin' with a big F'n disaster!

When I first upgraded my baja I put twin ram external hyd steering on it,it helped but later I went to full hyd to the helm, night and day difference, the ONLY way you should go if you place any real value on your life and your passengers,Smitty

Another vote for full hydraulic to the helm. Once you try it... you will never go back.
