Quick and cheap fix would be taking it to a local prop shop and getting it cut down. Tell them your current rpm and your target rpm they should be able to get you close, that should help with your hole shot also.

It's not quick but you could call Wellcraft and ask them what came on the boat stock. Or stop by a Wellcraft dealer with your hull ID number and ask the parts dept to help you.

Is your motor running properly? Is the bottom clean on the boat, no growth?
Start with the basics before assumming its the wrong prop, It should be close to what is needed.

I had a 83 Nova and I think I ran a 21P, it's been about 12 years so i cant be sure, try a 21 or 23 mirage

Try a 19" Mirage plus. I doubt the boat is going to be rocket out of the hole unless you go to something like a Merc High Five prop in a 17"

Yep 21P 3 blade, put a set of stainless marine headers on it, with a highrise manifold and a 850 rodchester, you will see 60plus mph, and can run your 19P 4 blade
