Did Ford stop building dually trucks with a short box? I used their website to try and configure one and every time I put in dually, it automatically bumped me into a long bed.
I had a crew cab long bed once before and absolutely could not live with the length when not on the freeway.
It appears even the 450/550 cab only trucks are also on long bed wheel bases only.
Anyone know?

A buddy just bought a new SD dually 2 months ago that is a shortbed. It was the extended cab model.

Even in 06 when I bought my swb crew cab dually the only options with color were black and white, you could get the full Lariat pkg though..I wanted the dually for towing the boat, but couldn't live with a longbed being as parking and daily usage in town would have sucked.

My apologies to my incorrect statement then. Does anyone have any pics of a new ('08+) SB CC dually?
'05 and later with the coil spring front suspension and a SB dually would actually be a pretty "city-able" truck sans parking.
I looked at them when I was dually shopping, but I am glad I have a longbed. I can fill the truck with tools, gear, luggage, coolers/beer in a hurry. My last truck was an Avalanche, and I appreciate the extra room.

I was told when I inquired that it was because Ford used the commercial wrecker cab and chassis and the commercial trucks were either black or white. Don't know this for fact, but it was what I was told when I originally went hunting for one because I wanted a silver or grey one, and Sydwayz, your right for a dually it was'nt bad for a daily driver, ya just gotta learn to back in to park everywhere you go.
