There was/is supposed to be a shower in there with a cap that snaps shut over it. Not sure who makes it maybe Perko.

Ok now that makes sense, so I am to assume there would have been a pump and fresh water pick up somewhere in the engine compartment as well ?

Usually it is hooked up to your pressurized fresh water storage tank.

Yep, it feeds from the fresh water tank. It should have come down the tube down the port side gunwale compartment.

Ok looked around and no luck, Brian would you know the manufacturer of the transom shower units ? not going to add it back it at this time but would like to replace the fitting so can have a cap to close it for the time being and we will remove it over the winter and glass it back up then. Dont need a fresh water shower here in the fresh water, more things to break anyway.

Just a thought, perhaps a request from prospective future AT owners - a fresh water hose can come in handy for hosing down unexpected spills. It's one of those things you don't think about much until you have it and use it. The cost & effort to replace it, or at least leave it be would probably be a lot less than filling the hole and repainting.
