Default Bravo Bolt question !!

Ok k, I know this is unusal, but, I called every Mercruiser dealer in my area and no one can get me a bolt or tell the size of the bolt. I have to meet a "minimum order" requirement !

This is item #86 on the Mercruiser Bravo one parts break down. It is the bolt that goes UP from the lower unit, at the rear & goes into the upper drive case. This is the bolt beneath the trim tab on the cavitation plate. Does anyone know the size of this bolt & length? Cost is not the issue here, it's only $1.65 from Mercruiser, but I must wait an undetermined length of time for a dealer to order it, &/or pay $6-7 for fedex/ups. I know you guys know the size of this thing & I could buy one at
the bolt store", so Please tell me !

It's 7/16-14 x 1.5, stainless. The factory bolt does have a locking compound pre-applied. I am sure Loctite would do the job.

EXCELLENT !!! Ya' can't beat OSO members for info!
Thanks a lot.....now I can finish this job, the boat is sold & I am finishing reassembly of the drive, engine bay rehab, & installation of the hydraulic helm. The OSO members are great for sharing information and knowledge from those that have "been there, done that" !

Just got back from "the Bolt Store".... I bought two bolts, for less than mercruisers 1.65 each.....mine included tax also.
Of course I will have to unscrew the cap on the loc-tite bottle!
