My 27 has the dual tanks under the cabin floor, one of the level gage screw on covers is cracked and won't tighten to seal the tank . . This boat is a 1968, tanks are aluminum, and the level gages are simple cork floats with an spool indicator . . .
Any ideas short of having new caps machined? . . any body have some laying around?
Thank you!!!

DON'T SMOKE WILE DOING SO !! LOL
If the tank itself is cracked at the hole ,,,empty the tank ,J&B weld the hole ,re-tap and then put in a new screw .

Unless i totally misunderstood u ,,this should work.

Well I have never seen one like that...most of the magnums that I have worked on on from the 70's.Maybe someone will have one, however many times I have used a local machine shop to work on old parts and in some cases had them fabricator a new one. I will check Roger Munn Mon.and see if he might know some one who might have an extra one. Bud
