Default milky oil around oil fill caps

I noticed i have a thick milky oil around my oils fill caps when i screw them off, not on dip stick and oil pressure is great, is it due maybe to the fact i dont run hard much where we boat and my oil tems never get above 190 ,, just a bit worried due to the new 741 cams with reversion but it seems to only be in the valve cover area up high near the fill caps and i do see some coming up the breather tubes to the arrester.

Do you run oil stats? You need to get the oil up over 212 to get the water out of the oil. This is a typical and common problem. To verify reversion issue pull your plugs. They are probabaly fine.

Get an oil thermostat and your problem will be solved!

The first step is to get an oil temp gauge. Gauge and sender is less than $100. Elite Marine can sell you both.

Good point Ben. Email me at [email protected] and we can discuss this further. I will help you out with cost too. Hate to see you ruin an engine due to condensate.

Do a search on here for oil thermostats to determine which one you prefer. Some are cheap and I dont know how well they last, others are very expensive and not worth the money.

I dont pick products for people, just show them their options.
