Default thunderbolt 1V ignition question

I have a stock ignition , my timing jumped 10 degrees not sure what caused this to happen. I had changed the jets and noticed some popping out of the carb, I readjusted the the timing and now is fine . Can the module cause the timing to change , the distributor was tight so it was not the cause. any suggestions.

The base timing should not change unless the distributor moved. Somehow it moved or you have a dist gear that jumped.
