Default Nutty smelling white smoke...

I had water in the oil due to a leaking port side manifold. I also had a leaking valve cover. I replaced the gasket and both manifolds/elbows. Everything is sealed tight as a drum. I used carb cleaner to get the residual oil off of the block, head, etc.
Now, only when running WOT, I smell a nutty odor. When I come to a stop and look in the engine compartment, I see a little white smoke rising up between the valve cover and ECU. I actually thought the ECU was going, so I took it off and cleaned it. I can't tell the exact location of the smoke's origin since the remote oil filter hose is in the way but I look under the manifold and don't see anything.
Anyway, it seems to be diminishing. Could this just be residual oil from the past three years of oil leaks. This is what I would have assumed if it wasn't for the strange odor. It almost smells like Amaretto, really weird. I've checked the oil, no more water in it...oil pressure is fine. Any thoughts ?

THANK YOU,

Rock
