Default Hydraulic steering

I need advice on hyd. strg. I have a Alpha 1 drive and need full unit with 2 rams. What is the best co. to deal with if not the most reasonable. I am at a speed where I am not comfortable, especially at wot. I am close to the 80 mark. I just want to be safe.

WTF? Please tell me what boat your pushing to 80mph with an Alpha drive and what prop and engine HP. I surprized it hasn't blown apart. There are several steering set ups in the swap shop. I'm not sure how easy it will be to find a wing plate for an Alpha, kinda not so popular high perf application. There are also several Bravo drive set ups for sale too. Including the 4 I have available in case you want to convert over. Not the classifieds, the swap forum.

Thanks for the offer, but prefer a new system. System must fit a Alpha and get tech help when needed. Do they even make a system for a Alpha??

Have you checked the usual sites, Imco, Mayfair, Marine Machine? Not sure I ever seen a set up for an Alpha. Never really looked for it though. Good Luck!

Thanks. I run a Alpha SS behind a 383 on a 18 Donzi. At speed it shows I have a lot of loose skin.

No prob. With a lighter boat you can run a decent amount of power through a alpha, just can't slam it from a dig.. I am however upping to a bravo, for that lil belt powered snail that is in the works
