Brian,
You should be able to get a single Crane (if there are any left anywhere) or a Morel one for sure. What actually went bad on the lifter ? If the wheel or bearing came apart I would make sure and examine the cam very carefully.

I'm with Bill on this one. I don't know that I would simply put a new lifter in it and go... If the cam is slightly scored, it could cause more trouble and possibly cause other parts to fail.

Trust me, I know it sucks.... I lost a motor Memorial Day weekend and I have been stuck this summer building the motors again.

I hope it all works out for you.

Upstate, are they the ones I saw? If so they looked like brand new. I get you on not wanting to bust up a set...

Good luck finding 1 Crane lifter on a shelf. After they went out, everyone pulled EVERYTHING. You may want to try a GM dealer for one. Didn't the ZZ502 use the same lifters? A used set for a few hundred dollars might get you thru till the rebuild.

You had better look at the rest of them.

And, check the inner valve springs to see
if they're broken.
