Anyone had problems with moisture getting in your oil from a leaky oil cooler? Been getting some moisture in the oil.
I think I narrowed it down! Haven't done a pressure check on the cooler yet, but the block is fine.

You've got me thinking now. I found a soupy mess of oil in one of my 454's, but no sign of cracked block or blown head gasket, and the heads were new. I'll pressure check the heat exchanger.

I pressurized the oil side to ~30psi and put it in a bucket, no bubbles anywhere after a minute or so. I'm back to head gasket and/or cracked head/block.
Good luck with finding the leak.

Depending on exhaust type a riser gasket can cause moisture along with a cracked exhaust manifold. Just something else to check if you have not already.

Thanks, I'll check this too. Bare block and heads are at the machine shop for pressure check and magnaflux. Randy
