Haha, my Uncle asked me the same thing just last week!
I'm pretty sure it's one of those self proclaimed "brokers" that ask you for like $300, and then say they'll sell your boat.
There are TONS of these guys in the car business that call and say, "I've got a list of preapproved buyers that want your car! If you'll pay me the one time fee of $300, I'll have that car GONE!"
I usually just say:
"How about this.... IF you sell my boat/car, I'll pay you $1,000 for the trouble......" They always say no, and they never call back.
If this place is one of these types of "brokers", it's one sentence away from being pretty scammy.
