Anyone removed the seat assembly on the 222? I need to rebuild the wood in the flip-up bottoms as well as the framing. I need to know where some of the hidden screws might be lurking. I'm worried about breaking the wood (it's pretty bad in a few spots), and knowing how it comes out would make that easier.

Never mind... I pretty much got it all figured out last night. Everything is out with the exception of the gunwale arm rests (they're good anyway) and the rear frame. A lot of it just fell apart.

I'm hoping to have the wood cut and epoxied before the weekend. It's a tall order, but I don't want to be without the boat too long!

I just took mine apart. If i didnt know any better i'd say the seats were assembled as a unit then dropped in to the boat! The flip's each have their own rod they ride on thats held inplace from moving by hose clamps kind hokey if ya ask me but hey it works...if anyone needs some dimensions or pics just ask since its all taken apart

Any and all dimensions you feel like giving out would be perfect! I pretty much have everything, but the information would be great.

I thought the same thing about the hokeyness... the hose clamps surprised me a little!

It's funny this has come up!

I was changing the cam in mine (believe it or not you can actually do it while the motor is in the boat!) yesterday but I slipped and elbowed the back panel of the divider, the wood block inside appears to have cracked and twisted and now the carpet seems to be a load bearing member!

Looks like I have to do a fix too! (Can I take just the back panel of the box off or does it all have to come out?)

The equipment box/seat back is supported by the two wood panels that separate the three compartments under it as well as the two engine compartment cover brackets the run down the back. You probably don't need to fix it unless you're worried about water intrusion from rain (which could rot the wood).

I can comment more if I had a picture to go by.
