Default 32 - Insurance costs?

Sunsation dudes:

Seriously considering a late model 32 with 496 HO's or 525's Anybody willing to share what their current insurance costs are for their boat? Trying to get an idea of the impact. I doubt my State Farm agent will insure this one Thanks in advance!

Hey Steve!

I've talked to Tom a couple of times. He's got a spot he says he can get a 35 fountain into! A 32 Sunsation should be about the same length as your boat. The only difference is the integrated versus bolt on swim platform.

I see that too fast comment. You worried I'll show up with a boat faster than yours AND that runs every weekend

09 SS with HO's.....State Farm in MI $960.00 a year, covered at $170K
FL and 525's will jack that rate up quite a bit I imagine!!
Good luck....

2005 Dominator in GA with 496 HOs $1790/yr through Markel. I looked all over and this was the best rate I could find.

State Farm is very different depending on geography. In many states they will insure black engines but not blue ones. In Illinois you probably can't get 525s insured. In Missouri they will, mostly because at LOTO you can't cut yourself out of that market. I paid 1200 per year for the F4, so it was very reasonable.

They are exiting the Florida market so it doesn't matter what power you have.

04 32 w/6.2's was as high as $3300 but is now down to $2200 in South FL. The hurricanes really hammered the market. If I waived the windstorm it would get cheaper but not worth the risk. Monroe, Dade, Broward and Palm Beach get surcharged to the moon.
