Default Opinoion on 35 Lightning Staggard

I would like to ask anyone with experience on 35 Lightning's with staggard engines for any opinions, concerns problems etc... that they may have encountered. I am looking at a 35 with the 496's and bravo xr SSM's. The boat has Hering 32 6blades on it and runs about 83 with 4 and full tanks. Any info on this type of setup would be appreciated.

not discounting what you are saying but Fountain says they only shipped that combo with 1.5 ratio drives and either 6b Hering's or 5b Maximus both 32p. I would hope that they tried other combos but you never know.

The numbers do not add up.

1.5 gears/ 32pitch prop/ 10% slip (assume) / 83 mph/ = 4565rpm's ?????? (RBBI prop calculator)

Something isn't right with the math.

Darrell.

It turns about 5000-5100 with the above mentioned load. The props do not have any visible markings from the outside so I am going on what Fountain said they put on it.

I read in a post on this forum that the first staggard 35 in 07 went 90+??
