Default Does anyone have one of these (trailer rim)

I went back to finish the brakes on my trailer which had been taken apart at an earlier date. Upon my arrival I noticed someone had stolen my rim and tire. This is really throwing a damper into my plans and I'm scratching to get the boat done for Lake George. Money is tight and I cant afford a set of 4, 8 lug wheels. Let me know. The rim is 16.5 and takes a 9.5 tire. The trailer is running out of life but I still need at least a few more trips.

If you are just trying to get up and running who cares what kind of rim it is as long as it is sized correctly. I think that Champion Trailer will have very close to that.

Thanks for the replies. I have been doing a little research and it looks like I can use a set of rims and tires from any pre 97 ford 2 or 350. Seems the offset is within 1/2" and the tires are load range E. 8 x 6.5" pattern. Any thoughts?

As long as your not on a single axle trailer, you can get away with using car tires on a trailer. With single axle you might get sway problems, or impact transfer through the wheels/tires because the tires will not flex as much as a trailer tire will. But in the case of Tandem or Triple axle trailers, the weight is more even distributed, so you will have far less of a problem.

Some will argue for and against. I would say yes your ok to tow as long as you are not overloaded. Keep an eye on your tire condition and pressures.

I would recommend replacing with trailer tires when you get a chance, but not necessary for your trip.
