is there a good way (sanitary) to plug off these fittings. i am using the x-overs with bypass and have no need for them. with out welding them up and polishing is there any other way to cap these fittings aside from using a short hose and a pipe plug with hose clamps?

Isn't it threaded?????? Mine just take a pipe plug.

not all are threaded..Mercury makes a rubber cap....

We found they fit perfect

The hardware store sells some rubber caps made to go on the bottom on chairs or other furniture. Or as steve mentioned, they also go on walking canes. I am pretty sure it is 1".
