Maybe it was USCG documented and doesn't have a title????
You can possibly search that option here http://www.st.nmfs.noaa.gov/st1/CoastGuard/index.html
Otherwise, you will have to do a state by state HIN search.

Solid white no graphix. No pro charger it has a 6-71 blower shop. Purple steering wheel red swim plate form. Bravo 1 with Imco lower. Drew marine steering stabilizers. Was told at time of sale that title would be mailed. 3 months later after several emails and calls was told there was something wrong with title and previous owner was waiting on PA to send him a new title. So they sold me a boat knowing they didnt have a title. Sounds criminal to me.

If this search for the title is futile, I would make LCM take the boat back full refund or call the law enforcement/sheriff in that county. As a company and in some states they could face criminal liability. I know a dealer in VA that tried to pull a fast one and the Dept of game and fishieries sent a detective to his home, very brief discussion, either make it right or face FELONY charges and let the judge figure it out. Legally if you don't have a title you don't own anything, they obtained money under false pretenses. Needless to say the boat owner got a refund in full written out of the dealerships owners personal checkbook next day
I know the dealer and the boat owner, this is how it went down, their stories matched.
