what model of Ecu is a Delphi 16237009 ? what years and what engines.. The ecu is 4 inches square..

That is a Mefi 3. It was primarily used on 454/502 Mag and 500 efi. That ecm was used from 98 1/2 until about 2003.

Would the ecu cause the motor to not start if it gets hot? I'm having issues after starting and running for a while the motor doesn't start until it gets cooler when the sun goes down...which isn't ideal situation. Other thought was might be the coils.

That sounds like vapor lock.. What boat and motor. There is a cool fuel modification fix for that but I am not knowledgeable about the specifics.

Hey Chris, I have a 2000 Baja Islander w/ 454 Mag MPI. I didn't think that vapor lock was much of an issue on fuel injection? But then again I'm not knowledgable at all in that area.
