Hi Chatim Racing,
For some unknown reason I can not see the film.
I have tested 2 different computers now.
It says that there is something wrong with the "protocol"??
Can you see if the link is "damaged" or if there is another way to see the film?

Thanks.

Pasta....I just viewed the film and it loaded very slowly. I don't know of another way to see it.

There are some shots of the following 24 footers....Top Banana, Fast Lady, Second Choice and Banana Split. They are just snippets, not real good, but at least we have something.

Sad memories of that race. I took the camera man out on the Fast Lady before the race, so he could get some water shots of the harbor etc. As we were finishing up, a Coast Guard boat came alongside and told me that I had an emergency phone call, back at the dockmaster's office. (long before cell phones)

When I got back to land and took the phone call, it was my wife informing me of my father's death back home. He was my first sponsor with little outboard race boats when I was a kid. He was my greatst fan and enjoyed all of my race wins as much as I did. I raced the next day for him, but with a very heavy heart...... and when something finally broke on the boat, I was happy to be done with the race and left for home.

Yes, I can imagine that had to be a really tuff day/race for you.

Lets try to make som films ourselves this summer and upload on the youtube or something...

Ha ha I finally got to see the film after another try. Changed in the adress pane from mms to http.

Some reflections about the film:
Lots of cool hair do´s.
I just love that Banana Boat logo!
Cool interviews. From one I learnt that Im not to old to pick up boat racing. I have some 25 years yet to get started. lol

Cool video and fun to see. However I agree with you Charlie. The footage of the Bananas was not much to write home about.

Can it really be that there is no other films to see of a running Banana Boat 24?

Hey.....Good for you. I agree, this summer should be one of creating a lot more videos and then posting them on You tube.

There may be another video taken last summer by Billy Frenz when he ran the Fairhaven Poker Run ....there is a nice running shot of the new boat we had at Miami last year....maybe it is on You tube???

Yea, every owner of a Banana Boat, lets try to make this happen.

Charlie,
For every new boat you sell you should ad this in to the contract of the boat. lol.
