Default Holley Red Pump

Finally got the Baja in some heat so I can put a new set of Guages in and Carling Rockers . I bought the boat in the fall so only got to make one run in it. It has a 468, around 420 hp? with Gill Exhaust, 750 Holley with stock jetting, I think they are 72 at all four corners, Weiand Intake, don't know what cam is in it. Motor was built buy Crockett Marine Engines in Detroit a couple years ago. Took a look at the fuel pump and they have a Holley Red Pump in it, it will flow 67 gph at 5 psi. Do the the math and the motor only needs around 40gph. But isn't that the problem, the 5 psi? Thought about going to a Holley Blue Pump. Anyone else run a Red Pump on a 454?

If you're going to go to a Holley Blue you may as well go to the Black for extra couple of bux... Most people on here say that the Holley pumps are junk and if you want to swap you should probably go with a Mallory 140. 5psi does sound low for a Holley Carb.

Pumps can be rated at free flow or at a set psi. I've had good luck with Malloy pumps, they supply flow rate vs psi data.
The 110 should have enough volume, is priced right, and doesn't require a regulator or return line.
