Default mallory 140 fuel pump

What is the maximum Hp the mallory 140 marine pump can handle, I talked with a mallory tech he told me that they will support up to 400 hp. I need one that will support 600 hp, any suggestions. Jp

I have a Aeromotive A1000. Its got you covered and then some for future upgrades. Around $300.00 in the Summit book.

I agree. If I were to buy an elect. fuel pump for a high Hp motor I would buy an Aeromotive. A friend of mine had one for 3-4 years on his race car, didn't install it right (didn't have a filter before the pump), the pump blew, it was HIS error, and Aeromotive fixed it for free. The guy that rebuilt the pump said that it was just fun to take apart and see what failed, because "these things never fail."

Their customer service was great and easy to work with. I would buy their products in a heart beat, and would give a second thought about paying 10-20% more for their products.

I run Mallory 140's on 590HP. At 8lbs the 140 still flows more than 100GPH. You only need 52GPH to support 600HP. throw in 30% more fuel for margin of error and that brings you to 67.6GPH

http://www.malloryperformance.com/pdf/110_140.pdf

600 hp / .52 (BSFC) = 312 lbs per hr.
312 / 6lb per gallon = 52 gallons per hr.
52 x 30% = 67.6
Am I missing something? I know a lot of people running Mallory or Holley (not a fan of the Holley) 140GPH pumps on over 600HP engines. I run an Innovate O2 wideband also, no plug reading for me. I still can't figure that out on my snomobile.
