Is anyone using a Turbo prop out there. I have heard that they will out perform Mirage props on a regular basis mainly on smaller boats, 26' and under.

sam, i used a 4 blade turbo prop on my last boat! it was a very good prop after labbing! they are made here in INDY by precision propeller. they do work better on the smaller boats.here is their number 317-545-9080 or 1-800-922-9955 ask for mark croxton tell i sent you bill chambers

I've got a 14 1/4" x 22P 3-blade turbo on my 21' Scarab with 350 and alpha I drive. I've never tried another prop on it but it seems to run great. 59-60mph on the gps @ 4500 rpm. I did have a prop shop put some extra cup in the blades. It lower the rpm around 100 but the speed stayed the same and the prop has a little more lift on the hull now.

Wilid Willy, I ordered my Turbo and should have it for the weekend. I'm going to run it on a 16" Donzi with a 350/alpha. I'm hopeing for a couple more mph and a little help with the chine walk. Even with my tabs it can get a little hairy sometimes. If this works out I'll have a couple new Mirages I'll need to sell. Thanks for your feed back and I'll let you how things work out.
