Default looking for a high output alternator for 500 EFI

I am looking for a high output alternator for a 2001 500 EFI. The part # on my current alternator are 19020703-875285.
Anyone know where to find such?

try this http://www.dbelectrical.com/alternators/marinealt.shtml my stock atl. was 55amps it suck when i put msd on.i got the one wire 105amp never had a problem . these guys are good they don t rob you like merc does

Have your current alternators bumped up.

More amps requires a bigger wire to the battery

Check with CP Performance. They have one that is well over 100 amps (don't remember the exact amperage). It should be a direct replacement. Call and talk to Mike at ext. 17.

You can take your existing one and get it rebuilt cheaper, add more windings and it is cost effective, many places do it.

I bought one of the hardin marine 130 amp alt. It works good until you put a big load on it at idle. The thing will start smoking. I talked to them and they said it doesn't have enough airflow around it at idle. I wouldn't buy anything bigger than a 100 amp unless you could find a bigger case alt.

100 is fine . i run msd box two 700amp and charge two batterys at the same time .got 1680hours on the hour meter! http://www.dbelectrical.com/alternators/marinealt.shtml

I call BS on Hardin..I was running 2 280amp alternators from Ohio Generator never had issues. I'm hoping they'll bolt up on my 500's if not I'll be selling them and having ones built for my 500's
