Hello All,
I have a brand new engine big block 500hp. I need to make some adjustments to the stainless marine risers. the holes don't line up. I would like to make it a dry system and had clamp on mufflers. The risers are the stock heigth not alot of angle. Which would be the best way to go, just move the water mixture back or go dry exhaust. I'm on a small budget. Jp.

I'm in the process of doing the same thing with my S/M exhaust. Stainless wanted $1600 for new long risers, I think I can just have them extended for ALOT less. I'm curious to see the input on this.

Keep in mind that some of the clamp on mufflers are not designed for dry pipes. I used to have dry on twin 502's but when I started to run clamp on mufflers I drilled a 1/4 inch hole at the very end of the pipe to let just enough water out to keep the rubber seals in the mufflers from burning up.
I will tell you that dry pipes are really loud!!!
