Default Couple questions on drive height and existing nosecone already on boat

It seems like the drive height on this boat is higher than normal and it has a nosecone
even though its a 65-70mph boat.
It has not been in the water with its new owner so he will
try it first but my thinking is the cone isnt needed and he will
need a 4 blade prop at the current drive height.
What are your thoughts?
(on some browsers you may need to click on picture to see it fullsize)

propshaft 3" below
27 Carrera ( made from Corsa/Carrera 30ft molds with a 3ft plug)
Yes we will put it in and try it but since it came this way we have no way
of knowing if running without a nosecone would be better which is why I am asking to see if someone has had a similiar setup

3" below is pretty high. Mine was at about 3.75 on my 28 Pantera with a notched transom. I also had a nose cone. I ran a 26 Bravo prop and had no problem getting on plane. Propslip % was pretty high and it was hard to carry the bow. I got rid of the nosecone and it made no difference. Had some prop work done that helped a little. I ended up using a bigger spacer and went 1" deeper and that made a big difference. Propslip went from almost 25% to 17% or so. Cruise speed was improved by about 4mph and picked up 1-2 mph on the top end.
