What kind of gear lube should I use in a alpha 1 outdrive in a 85 wellcraft nova

I have always used the Mercury quicksilver high performance gear lube in my Alpha and Bravo drives, but there are others.

Be sure that if you go with the Merc HP lube (which is what Merc specs for my Alpha Gen II) you drain all the old oil out and let it sit a while for a full drain as Merc says not ot mix the HP and regular Merc gear lube. Just in case you have lube other than the HP stuff.
