Default 575 Super Chiller

Has anyone on the boards installed a super chiller kit from Teague on a 575 merc?Iam looking at installing the 650 kit (no fuel pump or ecu change)now and maybe upgraging to the 700 hp later.I would like to know how hard the install was and what kind of performance it showed. Thanks

My opinion.....75 hp increase with no ecu remap.

BANG

A super chiller alone will not ad 75 HP and if you add boost (air) and don't add fuel to keep A/F ratios in balance, its inevidable and proven.

friend's 575's got SuperChillers, an ECU remap, and a pulley. Makes 7 pounds in the intake and is supposed to make a touch over 700 horses (per a dyno run on an identical setup).

Why not let Dustin let us all know.

I was thinking of putting the Super Chillers or Whipple's chillers on mine just to help with detonation.

From what I understand you can change the boost to about 6 pounds without the chillers or reprogramming the ECU's. It does add quite a bit of risk. If you run them at WOT for too long, yea

I'm still not sure what took mine out but the re-builder said it deafeningly detonated and took out the head gaskets. Everyone seems to think it was the previous owners abuse. That may be the case here because other people say they have had great luck with these engines. Even when modified.
