I am in the middle of building a 489/496 stroker out of my 454 for my 91 baja, I just wanted to confirm i am ok with the 496 exhaust i got as a pull from a late model boat. The cam I installed in engine is a crane 134241. The engine has fully ported heads and air gap intake. I have the complete install kit so the springs and everything match. Just making sure i dont have to worry about engine sucking water up the exhaust.

Not sure. It will be borderline for reversion with 496 exhaust. The Crane 132561 would be a little better since its on 114 lob sep. It was used in the 420 and 525SC but they also both had Gil exhaust.
