Unhappy still overheating

hey guys i have a 1989 donzi ragazza 25feet. i just drop a new 300hp motor in it. had it on the water about 4 months. i got up one day started it and it's overheating. i was told on here to start with the impeller so i did. the old one i took out still looks new. i replaced it and still im getting no water coming to the engine. i took both the risers off and clean them and replace new gaskets. then i took one of the hoses off the manifold and started the engine, im getting no water coming through the hose. im runnign the raw water system it's driving me crazy and the thing is the boat gets hot so fast. 400 feet and it's already rising. i need help guys two impeller changes and still getting bo water.

If it is a Bravo drive you may have a collapsed hose at the transom assembly. Corrosion will build up between the hose and the transom housing and crush the hose closed. You can see it by removing the plastic fitting on the transom where the hose feeding the water pump is connected.

I agree... your problem is between the drive and the water pump.

Ok years ago I had an issue like this with my 20 FT sutphen. Bees got into the drive and made a nest in there. somewhere between the Pickup and the outlet for the hose to go to the raw water pump that come off the drive housing.

I made a fitting to fit where the hose goes on with a hose connector for an air hose KInd of like when you pressure test pipes.

It took 40 PSI to blow it out but it worked great after that.

Who knows maybe thats the same issue.

Drove me nuts for months! just couldnt find it because it would actualy flow SOME water.

Maybe a 4 blade prop would help.

Try posting this in the tech area. Also, make sure your coolers and lines arent plugged with old impeller pieces
