Which is the best intake gasket for a Gen 6 502 engine
Felpro or Mr Gasket

depends which intake...i bought both and looked to see which one matched up the best, went with the felpro 1211 i think, the marine felpro are stamped with the auto felpro number on them so they are the same they just use a marine number so u have to pay more. Ithink the 1211 didnt have the crossovers so that why i used them.

Really tough to beat the Merc HP500 gasket. It has some give to it so it will torque down and cover slight alignment issues.

I prefer the Felpro gaskets with the printoseal option.

felpro 1275s-3 for The Merlin Intake Square Port Heads.problem Sealing Around The Brass Insert With Others.salt Will Eat Around The Aluminum At The Water Ports And Develope A Leak Into The Lifter Valley.if You Get A Lot Of Milky Oil This Could Be The Problem.
