Default Fastest 22' Citation

Hey y'all....I'm new on this board. Anyone with 22' Citations out there? If so, I'm curious what engine/speed combos are out there. What's the fastest 22' Citation you've seen?

Nerd, you on the speedwake microboat thread? I think that we have talked a couple times, once on the old Hotboat forums about running a shorty. Correct me if I am wrong but you have a 22' with a 502 and a whipple??? I had a 22' with a 509 and a vortec till two years ago. My father now has it. I saw 82 mph @ Havasu with four people and gas. Fantastic boat.

Yep....its me. Still running about the same.....about 87 GPS with one person. Are we the only two people out there with this boat?? It is a great boat because it feels a lot bigger than it is, yet it has a very dialed in bottom for nice speed. We run neck and neck with several step bottoms with the same power. How does your Scarab run with the 500s?

I have seen quite a few Citations but most just run stock power. You ever end up trying a shorty??? The Scarab runs pretty good, mid 80's.

It runs too solid to mess with a shorty. I know another guy out at the lake with an Eliminator 25 Eagle XP with the same engine package as me. He had a shorty on that and I think it got to be too much to handle, so now he's back with the standard Bravo drive. I'd be afraid of excessive chine walking, etc, etc....

I'm from Ohio, and I've never seen another Citation. There are quite a few Eliminators and Nordics, but very few Advantages. The only two Advantages I've ever bumped into are a 27' Victory (stock 502 mpi) and a 32' Victory (twin HP 500s). That 32 ran right with us....it was quick!

I helped a buddy install a -2 shorty on a Villian II last summer. It settled the boat down alot. He was running just shy of 70 before and is still at 70 now but it is a safe 70 mph. I know the advantage was great at 80 mph. I think that my old advantage would benefit alot from a shorty due to the depth of the drive and fact that I could plane out easy with a 3-blade. All its going to take is for someone to have a little cash laying around that wants to give it a try.
