Default What is the x dim

I keep seeing this term and don't know what it means. Where is it measured from? Is there a Y dim and a Z dim too?

x dim refers to teh amoutn of money you spend getting your boat to go fatser. FYI all current research seems to show it is an infinitely large number....

But seriously its the distance between the bottom of your hull and the prop. The deeper the prop the lower the x-dim.

Puder, isn't the X dimension the center of the crankshaft?

X-dimension is the distance from the bottom of the hull up to the point where the driveshaft of the sterndrive comes through the transom.

The higher the X-dim. the closer the prop is to the surface of the water.

You can effectively change the X-dim. by changing to a shorter or longer lower unit setup without having to redo the actual outdrive height.

it is indeed a measure of where the prop is in relation to the hull and the surface of the water.

i was wrong on where you measure it from.
