Anyone here ever have a fuel cell leak/break. Is the fuel pump
in the sponson? Eliminator's telling me I have to cut the floor of the boat out to get the fuel tank out. Any help would be great.

Fuel tanks should be on the sides. What engine? The fuel pump is mounted to the engine on stock Mercury engines. The tanks are aluminum, it is hard for me to believe they leak. Maybe the fuel line fittings are leaking or the fuel fill hose or breather. Pull the side panels for a look. If a tank is leaking it can be cut loose. Where are you located?

I can see how that could happen with a low mounted speaker. I am thinking strip the panel on that side of the boat to access the fuel tank. disconnect the fuel line from the tank. fill the tank to the top with water and have it TIG welded or heliarced if a little fiberglass needs to be ground away, it will not hurt anything. Drain the water from the tank, reconnect the fuel line and fill her up with gas. I think a bonus is, IMCO has a Nevada office. They are the ones that build the tanks. I am sure if they could not do it on the spot, they would know someone that can. http://www.imcomarine.com/
I live around the oil field and we do this all the time with big vessle tanks etc.
